1997 The project was motivated by the observation that : “a simple, rapid, sturdy and inexpensive ceiling system does not exist!”
This observation was to become an absolute specification. The goal was to solve all ceiling problems using a single, easy-to-use product.

1999

1999 Development of a covering material that is unique in the world thanks to its texture (polyester weft and PU coating), exceptional width (5 metres), mechanical behaviour and appearance (a matt white ceiling with an even and perfectly uniform surface).

A covering material that is 15 to 20 times stronger than PVC and as easy to handle as a roll of carpet.

2001

Improvements made to the product’s technical qualities. The improvements to the quality of the covering material and the installation technique due to the development of thermo-retraction have resulted in a much simpler fitting method and cut installation times by about 30%.
The specifications were scrupulously respected, the stretched ceiling product was finally ready and the end result was really impressive in terms of its technical characteristics and ease of installation.
At the end of 2000, the installation method was successfully validated and the Clipso system became fully operational and universally recognized by tradesmen in the building industry.
