Ecophon Group enters into an exclusive agreement to acquire CLIPSO

Communiqué de presse – 11/02/2022

Ecophon Group enters into an exclusive agreement to acquire CLIPSO, a recognized supplier of acoustic textile solutions.

CLIPSO designs, manufactures, and sells stretched knitted textile solutions for ceiling and wall applications. These solutions offer a good acoustic performance, an easy installation, a large choice of colours, patterns, and printing possibilities. Their sustainability is best-in-class. They are also recommended by architects and interior designers from all over the world for their superior robustness, which has made them a natural choice in numerous landmark architectural projects.

CLIPSO has its head office located near Mulhouse, France. The company operates two production facilities in France and one in New Jersey, U.S.A. With a broad product range and a worldwide network of 1,500 independent certified installers, it sells mainly in Europe (55%) and the USA (25%).

The acquisition of CLIPSO strengthens Ecophon’s expertise on the market of architectural acoustic solutions.

Ecophon Group is a leading, global supplier of sound absorbing systems. Ecophon develops, manufactures and markets acoustic products and systems that contribute to a good working environment by enhancing peoples’ well-being and performance. The company has business units in 20 countries, delegations in another 30 countries, and approximately 1100 employees. The head office is located in Sweden. Ecophon Group is part of the Saint-Gobain Group.

“CLIPSO’s range of textile acoustic solutions is a natural complement to ours. The company’s global reach, clear commitment to sustainability, and its sharp focus on healthy indoor environments are just some of the synergies that we look forward to exploring.” says Francois Michel, CEO of Saint-Gobain Global Architectural Specialities and President of Ecophon Group.

“Joining forces with Ecophon allows us to leverage both of our strengths. Through its undisputed leading expertise as a supplier of indoor acoustic solutions, Ecophon is already working with the most recognized partners in the field, throughout the world. I look forward to introducing CLIPSO solutions to them with the same level of expertise, service, and dedication to our common Saint-Gobain purpose: “Making the world a better home”.” says Catherine Geis, CEO of CLIPSO.
